NATURAL BRIDGES
My Realization About Life Atop America’s Natural Bridges
I’ve come to realize how much traveling has broadened my understanding of diversity in the workplace. Every country I visit exposes me first-hand to its unique local culture. This first-hand experience has moulded my character, especially my resilience, as I’ve engaged in various global projects. It’s akin to the inner me taking shape, much like the natural bridges gradually formed through erosion. Similarly, my work attitude has undergone a transformative process.
I’m grateful for the wisdom shared by one of the most exceptional leaders I’ve worked with in the US and Europe. They once remarked, “Your tenacity, Herica! It’s your persistence that finally resolved the longstanding issues in our global project.” Not everyone is eager to tackle such global challenges at work, mainly due to the complexity of working with professionals from diverse backgrounds. Handling diverse cultures in the workplace requires navigating different personalities while striving for harmony and timely completion—a task many shy away from.
Quick Facts About Natural Bridges
Let’s delve into some quick facts about how these bridges are formed. Natural Bridges result from erosion, a process involving the movement and transition of soil, rock, and other natural materials from one location to another.
Ever wondered why rocks exhibit different colours and shapes? Well, it’s all due to minerals forming naturally through geological processes. The constant impact of wind and water shapes these rocks into diverse forms and colours, adding to their uniqueness.
Here’s my take—Understanding how these beautiful bridges form is fascinating. The natural development process mirrors our own character growth. Think about erosion; it’s akin to life situations and the various stressors that come and go, shaping us much like the solid rocks or soil. What truly matters is that we undergo these processes and emerge with a beautiful character in the end. Despite life’s challenges, we become stronger, wiser, and more beautiful as human beings. It doesn’t matter what shape, color, or form we take; the key is knowing and loving ourselves while focusing on personal development, which ultimately allows us to positively impact others.
